Just checked the time and weather in Ushuaia, as today is the final day for packing and I want to set out my travelling attire. Ushuaia is 2 hours ahead of New York. As I write this, snow is falling and the sky is overcast. The temperature is 32F – or 0C – freezing. I can expect more of the same the day I arrive, the 13th. Things will warm up.  Sunday should be sunny with cloudy periods and a high of 41F  (5C).

Buenos Aires is 55F  (12C) at this moment. The high when I pass through is expected to be 87F (30C)…you can see the challenge. We always advise our travelers to dress in layers. I should follow our advice for the 24 hours I’m traveling.

Santiago, in the same time zone as BA, is having the same sort of weather as BA. I will need to pack a summer wardrobe. And shoes…the challenge in this new world order of baggage charges – is still the shoes.
